On November 23, 2024, the Inclusive Play Project was honoured to partner with motionball Kingston for an incredible day celebrating sport, inclusion, and community. This event brought together athletes, volunteers, and supporters to raise awareness and funds for Kingston’s first fully inclusive playground.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in high-energy sports, connected with Special Olympics athletes, and rallied around the importance of accessible play. One of the standout moments was the Silent Auction, which we hosted online for the first time—expanding our reach and making it easier than ever to support this initiative.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised just under $15,000 for the Inclusive Play Project! The proceeds from this event will go directly toward funding the ReviWheel Spinner, an exciting and fully accessible piece of equipment that allows children of all abilities to experience the joy of motion in a safe and inclusive way.
A huge thank you to motionball Kingston, our volunteers, donors, and everyone who participated. Your support is truly making a difference, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together. Stay tuned for more exciting initiatives as we move closer to breaking ground!
